Animal Photography from Woodstock Sanctuary and Farm Sanctuary at the Jivamuktea Café

I had an exhibit of my farmed animal photography at the Sustainable NYC in January, and when it ended my friend Tau Braun, manager of the Jivamuktea Café, offered me space to show them there. Some of the photos Sustainable had sold, and there was less space at Jivamuktea, so I put up seven photos that fit the space.

I have been photographing sanctuary critters for over 10 years. I call them farmed animals, rather than farm animals. They were not created by god to live on farms. Their bodies and DNA have been manipulated by humans to make them easier for us to imprison and feed on. So, they are farmed, but not of the farm. They are sparks of the divine, and we are living in darkness as long as we cage and kill them.

All animals were photographed at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary (Woodstock, NY) and Farm Sanctuary (Watkins Glen, NY). Click on images to go to gallery with more photos and option to purchase. And don't forget to share on social media!
