Derek has moved to New Orleans and this is the first podcast produced in the Big Easy. Soon after his arrival the controversial animal rights/welfare organization Peta held a Meat Tray Demonstration in downtown New Orleans. Derek went to interview the activists involved in the protest, where naked protesters were covered in faux blood and lying in containers that looked like styrofoam meat trays, wrapped in cellophane and labeled with stickers that read 'human meat'. In the second half of the show Derek interviews Peta activists on the way to a Peta protest against NASA radiation experiments on squirrel monkeys. Derek raises the abolitionist argument and gets the activists perspective on Peta's tactics.
