I would like to honor my dear friends Jenny Brown & Doug Abel, who celebrated their 10 year anniversary on October 4th, 2014.

I met Jenny Brown at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY back in 2004. At the time she was doing her internship to learn the ropes of running a sanctuary. I was there photographing animals for the organization. Jenny & I hit it off from the beginning. I was honored to be asked to photograph her wedding later that year, as she and her fiancé Doug are both artistic types and wouldn't just hire any run-of-the-mill wedding photographer.

The wedding took place at the property that would become the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. At the time there were a handful of chickens and roosters, and three steer (Elvis, Andy & Ralphie). Check out this Woodstock Sanctuary newsletter PDF to read all about the steers and the wedding, or read about it on the Woodstock Sanctuary website.
